Direct Primary Care ....

1.  What is Direct Primary Care (DPC) & how does it work?
Direct Primary Care (DPC) is a healthcare model where patients pay their Primary Care provider directly, usually through a monthly membership fee, rather than going through insurance for most routine care.

  • Flat Monthly Fee

  • No Insurance Billing: DPC practices will not bill insurance for services.

  • Unlimited Access: Patients may get unlimited office visits, same-day or next-day appointments, and direct communication with their Provider (phone, text, email, patient portal).

  • Longer Visits: Providers spend more time with each patient (often 30-60 minutes instead of the 10-15 minute standard in traditional settings).

  • Transparent Pricing: Labs or scans are often offered at wholesale or reduced costs, with clear upfront pricing, or included in the plan.

2.   What are the benefits of joining a direct primary care?

  • More personalized care

  • Easier access to your Provider

  • No surprise bills

  • Lower out-of-pocket costs for people with high-deductible insurance plans

3.  Can I use DPC if I do or do not have medical insurance?

  • Yes, if you have insurance, this can be an add-on service for concierge care for those with large insurance deductibles and copays.

  • DPC helps those without insurance coverage, and there are hospital confinement indemnity plans that can be purchased via a broker/ company for Hospital Stays separately.
